Kia’s Soulful Entrance

Kia’s Soulful Entrance

November 14, 2014

The 2014 Kia Soul, a funky little car that Kia presented with an entirely new design, is simply soulful. It continues to make a statement for the brand with its distinctive styling and is aimed specifically at the adventurous driver looking for something a little different that offers that something extra...

The practical and fuel-efficient Soul is not only a great city car. It offers ample space for more friends and all the extra things you need for your longer journeys too.

The new 2014 Kia Soul is also great for budget-conscious buyers who don’t want to compromise on great features. With it’s funky new design it provides improved ride and handling, increased interior and luggage space, reduced CO2 emissions, three different roof colours, and up to 11 exterior paint finishes.

Chunky looks may remain, but the new Soul is tougher, bigger and more grown up. The second-generation 2014 Kia Soul package includes piano black paint on the bumpers, wheel arches and side skirts to create the illusion of plastic body cladding. Other exciting new features include front LED lights and rear LED ‘halo’ lights, HID headlights, keyless entry and push-button engine start. There is automatic climate control, air conditioning, cruise control, leather seat trim, ventilated front seats, heated front and rear seats, with panoramic glass sunroof and heated exterior mirrors.

The new crossover is equipped with a 1.6 litre petrol and CRDi diesel engine from previous generations, but with improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions (six speed manual and automatic transmissions). The new SUV may just be one of the best in its class in terms of refinement, a result of the car’s upgraded suspension, 29 per cent harder body shells and comprehensive soundproofing.

Kia has transformed itself over the years by giving consumers a reason beyond an industry-leading warranty to consider the brand. Plus, after hiring a new design talent, these carmakers have launched a crossover SUV that blends style, performance and fuel consumption in equal and excellent measures.

While it may be recognised as an old Soul, the newcomer is truly advanced and bigger and more grown-up than ever before.
