Kia Sportage Car Review

July 08, 2013

An SUV that is in a class of its own - The Kia Sportage is bold and distinctive in every way.

“It embodies Kia’s new-found visual dynamism by successfully taking the key features of an off-road vehicle,”– explains Kia Motors Corporation’s Chief Design Officer.

There are 10 different types of the Kia Sportage, each arriving with top of the class driving, comfort, connectivity and safety features. Our favourite features of the lot include: Isofix Baby Seat Anchors, Rear parking assist system, Bluetooth connectivity, Auto Light Control and Remote Steering Controls.

Top models get a telescoping steering wheel; a cooled glove box; a power driver seat; 18-inch wheels; leather steering wheel and shifter trim; roof rails; and a rear spoiler. The Sportage is also able to search through all your media to find the perfect soundtrack to your next drive, whether it lives on your iPod, an SD card, or HD Radio.

The SX is the top of the range Sportage, offering a drive that excels on all levels from power and smoothness to connectivity and safety.

Four-cylinder engines are all that's offered on the Sportage range, but they're all that's really needed, since one gets a turbocharged horsepower lift. The base engine's a 2.4-liter four with 176 horsepower and direct injection. Each engine has a 55l fuel capacity while the choice of petrol or diesel is up to you.

If you are looking for a family vehicle that has a little more sportiness to its drive, the Sportage is for you. Book a test drive today and find out if the Kia Sportage is the perfect addition to your life.
