If you’re interested in buying a Kia Sportage we recommend that you view this entertaining and informative video review.

Just in case you want a recap or can’t watch the video, here’s a summary.

Despite it being a 2011 Kia Sportage in the video, it still has an eye-catching design and great features, making it an excellent option if you’re looking to buy a pre-owned SUV.

It boasts a really big boot which happens to lack a lip – that means there’s no need for that extra (annoying) little lift to get your luggage in. If you’re looking for even more space, the rear chairs of course fold back easily thanks to considerate releases attached to the back of the seats. Once the seats are folded it’s not completely level, but there’s no step so you can slide items right in to the back, with hardly any effort.

Now, let’s get the downsides out of the way. The steering feels slightly numb and there’s a little bit of wind whistle from the bluff sides at higher speeds. Also, the ride sometimes gets a bit jiggly over rougher surfaces. Still, all in all these niggles are quite minor and easy to forgive – especially when you consider everything you get for what you pay.

In terms of cabin space, you’ll be pleased to know that three adults can occupy the backseat in complete comfort. Decent headroom and loads of knee room are added bonuses. Plus, the flat floor at the back certainly makes the centre seat more appealing.

There’s also ample stowage space to keep the car tidy – for example the central armrest and large door bins. Added bonus: the glove box is chilled by the air conditioning which makes it ideal for beverage and sealed food storage (especially when travelling longer distances).

The generous standard features integrated across practically the whole range include cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, as well as ESP (Electronic Stability Control). That was just a taste of all the fantastic features.

With various adjustable parts, such as the height adjustable driver seat, it’s easy to find the ideal seating position. A quality interior finish with a soft-touch material dashboard also makes the cabin more luxurious and comfortable.

Although this SUV is quite large, it’s easy to drive around town as the light controls make it easy to navigate through traffic. Also, thanks to a raised seating position you’ll always have a good view of other cars. Then there’s the jacked-up suspension meaning you don’t have to worry about speed bumps.

The tough looks are not just for show because as well as two-wheel drive derivatives there are also all-wheel drive versions for those looking for a vehicle with enhanced off-road capabilities.

Drivers can expect descent handling on the open road thanks to a firm suspension resulting in hardly any body roll through corners (especially for such a tall vehicle). The confidence-inspiring grip is certainly worth mentioning too.

Well, that’s enough from our side. We’d curious to know what you think. Why not book a test drive for a pre-owned Kia Sportage and decide for yourself? View Listings
